General info

Cervical Awareness Week 21st-27th January 2019 – 7 days to go

At Castle Health Centre we are trying to raise awareness of the need for women to attend for Cervical Screening. Annual cervical screening statistics in Wales is 76.1% compared to 77% last year. The biggest decline is seen in 25-29yr olds. If we don’t act we will sadly see more cervical cancer diagnoses. We know that there are many reasons why women don’t attend and we are here to discuss any barriers to a woman having a smear test. With the HPV primary testing we have a more effective and reliable test. For further information, please call the surgery and ask to speak to one of the nursing team.
